outfit of the day 8

yellow diamonds in the light...

(vintage sweater, American Apparel button down, Forever21 leggings, Teen Vogue messenger bag, Steve Madden oxfords)

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! ♥ I love this holiday because it is time when everyone can really enjoy each other's company in the warmth of delicious food on the table, laughter and cheer. That's why I believe it should be celebrated everyday of the year because we can sometimes get caught up with the fast pace of reality, so it's nice to slow down and remember all the simple things in life that make us happy. And yes, for the obvious reason that cannot be denied any longer, I am grateful for this holiday because that means the next day brings with it Black Friday! (See, I'm getting excited already :) For those of you not familiar with this special day, stores across the nation have huge sales and you have the opportunity to score amazing deals, that is, with a little perseverance and planning of course ;)

I love chunky knits and sweaters because they are so soft and cozy, making them the perfect staple during the cold winter months and a great alternative to big, puffy jackets. I really love the soft yellow cream hue of this sweater so much that lately, I can't help but wear it on repeat. Similarly, my mind about leggings has totally changed from what I once felt was too "body hugging" to a recent obsession of mine as a perfect alternative to jeans. To create a more dressed up look to my otherwise casual outfit, I paired it with a cream corduroy button down, slipped on my Steve Madden oxfords and with cha-ching in hand, ready to hit the road shopping.

versace x h&m

As many of you fashionistas might know, the launch of the Versace for H&M collection is finally(!!!) here (in the U.S, that is) after much long-awaited anticipation and I think I happily speak for everyone when I say that it did. not. disappoint. This astounding collection ranging from bold red dresses to sequined silk skirts just literally blows me away over and over again, so it definitely goes without saying how much it would mean to me to be able to own a coveted piece from the brilliant designer that is Donatella Versace herself. However, I am happily content just to be able to browse through her one-of-a-kind designs and as a tribute to celebrate one of fashion history's unforgettable moments, wanted to share a college I made of the top ten items I would love to have!

american apparel warehouse sale

Took advantage of the Veteran's Day holiday today and (despite the rainy weather) hit the American Apparel warehouse sale the second time this week for more amazing deals! When I first heard of it, I literally had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming that this high street fashion brand would be marking their coveted items up to 90% off since they can be a bit pricey. Nevertheless, I was amazed at their wide range of trendy, stylish and vintage collection and spent a good three hours there scouring every rack of the store to return home with a bag full of amazing clothes at amazing deals!  And if it wasn't anymore obvious, documented this day with a so-called app known as Instagram that I now have a slight- okay maybe a huge- obsession with (;

1. front entrance to the store
2. sale flyer
3. inside shot of the massive shopping area
4. cream corduroy long sleeve button up
5. black crop top w/ orange detailing
6. dijon mustard circle vest
7. sheer lace top
8. American Apparel bag

Have an amazing weekend! xx
